Day 9 Monday January 15
The anointing is God’s presence.
THE PRESENCE OF God, or the anointing, is not an abstract concept; it is a living reality for every single believer. In order to walk in the power of God’s Presence, you must first discover Who the Presence really is. We are not discussing a force, a wind, or even some kind of physical manifestation. The Presence of God is the Holy Spirit. In the Book of Acts where Peter’s shadow carried and released supernatural healing power, the apostle was not merely walking under the influence of some kind of energy. God Himself inhabited him. In the New Testament God’s relationship with humanity is denoted by His Holy Spirit. He is not an “it.” The Holy Spirit is God Almighty fulfilling the promise He made in Ezekiel 36: 27, “I will put My Spirit within you.”

D.L. Moody Describes His Hunger for the Baptism of Fire
MOODY DESCRIBES HIS experience in this way: I was crying all the time that God would fill me with His Spirit. Well, one day, in the city of New York—oh, what a day!—I cannot describe it, I seldom refer to it; it is almost too sacred an experience for to name. Paul had an experience of which he never spoke for fourteen years. I can only say that God revealed Himself to me, and I had such an experience of His love that I had to ask Him to stay His hand. I went to preaching again. The sermons were not different; I did not present any new truths, and yet hundreds were converted. I would not now be placed back where I was before that blessed experience if you should give me all the world—it would be as the small dust of the balance.
Father, increase my awareness of the One Who lives inside of me and empower me to represent Jesus well in the earth. You always respond to the cries of Your people. As I cry out for more, I thank You that You will satisfy.
WHAT IS FATHER SAYING TO ME TODAY?
